SUPERVISION

Supervision for coaches and mentors
Space to reflect on your practice
Working closely with other people brings moments of insight and satisfaction, alongside uncertainty, complexity and challenge. Supervision offers space to pause, explore your experience and consider what your work is asking of you.
I offer a collaborative space in which to reflect on your coaching or mentoring practice, deepen your understanding and develop your professional judgement. Together, we attend to your clients’ needs, your experience as a practitioner, and the relationships and contexts shaping the work.
I am an EMCC Global accredited supervisor, holding Supervision Individual Accreditation (ESIA).
What you can bring
You might arrive with a particular client situation, a question about your practice, or a sense that something deserves further attention. You do not need to have worked out exactly what the issue is before bringing it.
Our conversations might explore:
-
A client relationship in which you feel stuck, uncertain or particularly invested.
-
How you balance support and challenge, and when to intervene or leave space.
-
Contracting, confidentiality, boundaries or competing expectations.
-
Questions about power, difference and the wider organisational context.
-
Patterns you notice in your responses to clients.
-
Confidence, professional identity and the development of your own approach.
-
The emotional demands of the work and what helps you sustain your practice.
Supervision also offers an opportunity to learn from work that has gone well: to understand what contributed to it, recognise your strengths and consider how that learning might inform future practice.
My approach
My approach is grounded in curiosity, respect and generosity. I bring careful listening, thoughtful challenge and a willingness to explore uncertainty with you.
We may look closely at a moment in a session, consider a recurring pattern, or step back to explore the wider relationships and expectations influencing your work. I will sometimes offer a perspective or framework where it helps us think, while making room for your own experience and judgement.
I aim to create a relationship in which you can speak openly, question assumptions and try out different ways of understanding a situation. We will pay attention to how we work together, including what feels useful, where more challenge might help, and what needs to change.
The purpose is to strengthen your capacity to make considered choices in your practice, with greater awareness of their possible impact on you, your clients and others involved.
What I bring
Alongside my supervision accreditation, I am an EMCC-accredited Senior Practitioner coach. I have been coaching since 2010 and training other coaches since 2016.
My experience spans coaching, education, leadership and creative practice. Working across these fields has developed my interest in how people learn, how professional identities evolve, and how relationships and working environments shape what becomes possible.
My background as a musician and educator informs my attentiveness to the individual, my responsiveness in conversation and my appreciation of learning through dialogue.
Individual supervision
Individual supervision gives us dedicated time to explore your practice and the questions that matter to you.
Sessions normally take place online, last one hour, and cost £120, with no VAT added. Other session lengths can be agreed where helpful, with the fee confirmed in advance.
We agree the frequency together, taking account of your practice, development needs and any relevant professional-body requirements. We review our arrangements as the work develops.
Group supervision
I welcome enquiries about group supervision for coaches and mentors. Working in a group offers opportunities to explore practice through shared reflection and different perspectives.
If you are interested in joining a group, or arranging supervision for an existing group, please get in touch. We can discuss what would be useful and explore possible arrangements. The format, timing and fees would be agreed before any commitment.

An initial conversation gives us an opportunity to discuss what you are looking for, explore whether we would work well together, and agree practical arrangements.
